High availability LAMP hosting

Val Morgan work closely with our strategic partners Redgum Web for their TYPO3 based Website requirements. Redgum approached us to provide a high availability hosting environment for their TYPO3 setup with instant failover.

Val Morgan now hire two Xen Virtual Machines on two physically separate machines and run a failover service using heartbeat. The secondary virtual machine also serves as an onsite backup using tools like rdiff-backup.

Monitoring is provided by Pingdom with SMS notification on failures. Our engineers are always on standby incase of disasters.

Our hardware is supplied and guaranteed by Dell under a three hour any day parts and labour guarantee and is housed by our friends at Host Networks.
